This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the F.I.R in Crime No.702 of 2021, filed under Sections 8 (c), 20 (b) (ii) (B) of NDPS Act, on the file of the respondent.

2. Heard Mr.P.Govindarajan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Gokulakrishnan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent.

3. On a perusal of the First Information Report, it would indicate that the name of the petitioner does not reflect as an accused. First Information Report has been lodged only against the person, who was in possession of 2 Kgs and 200 gms of ganja. Therefore, when the name of the petitioner is not found place in the First Information Report, quashing of the First Information Report, does not arise at all.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, the connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
