ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents 1 to 4 to pay monthly family pension and pension arrears from the date of death of the petitioner's husband to till date for the petitioner.

2. Mr.M.R.Gogulakrishnan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the representation of the petitioner dated 13.04.2024 is pending with the fourth respondent.

4. Since the petitioner has sought a very limited prayer to direct

the respondents to pay pensionary benefits of her husband, this court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the fourth respondent, namely the Engineer-in-Chief, Chief Engineer (General), Public Works Department, Chepauk, Chennai - 600 005 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 13.04.2024, on merits, after affording an opportunity of being heard to the petitioner and dispose of the same, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. .
