Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 2 and 3 to sanction water connection and sewerage connection to the petitioner premises situated No.16/1, 11th Lane, Indira Nagar, Adyar, Chennai - 600 020 in accordance with the relevant regulations on the basis of application of the petitioner dated 23.01.2017 immediately.

ORDER
Heard Mr.J.Pachiappan, learned counsel for the petitioner; Mr.T.C.Gopalakrishnan, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents 1 and 2; Mr.G.Janakiraman, learned Standing Counsel for the third respondent; Mr.R.Sivakumar, learned Standing Counsel for the fourth respondent and perused the records.

This Writ Petition is filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 2 and 3 to sanction water connection and sewerage connection to the petitioner premises situated No.16/1, 11th Lane, Indira Nagar, Adyar, Chennai - 600 020 in accordance with the relevant regulations on the basis of his application dated 23.01.2017.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had given an application dated 23.01.2017 for providing water and sewerage connections, after paying necessary charges. He further submitted that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the third respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 23.01.2017.
4. The learned Standing Counsel for the third respondent submitted that the application of the petitioner would be considered in accordance with law.
5. In the light of the above submissions and the nature of prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the third respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 23.01.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There is no order as to costs.
