Respondent Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.7.2015, and grant permission to the petitioner in order to conduct the cultural and adventure programme and to give police protection which is scheduled to be held on 8.8.2015, in Sri Padavattamman Temple, situated at Periyakannalapatti Village and Post, Tirupattur Taluk, Vellore District.

By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner claiming to be the Dharmakartha of Sri Padavattamman Temple situated at Periya Kannalapatti Village and Post, Tirupattur Taluk, Vellore District, and organiser of the temple festival, submitted an application dated 22.7.2015, to the respondent praying for permission to conduct the cultural programme, which includes song and dance programme, to be held on 8.8.2015, and since he has not been favoured with any kind of response, came forward to file this writ petition.

3.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, would submit that in the event of permission being granted, there will be no law and order problem, and no obscenity or vulgarity will be in place during such programme, and hence, prays for appropriate orders. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.This Court, without going into the merits of the application, directs the second respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application dated 22.7.2015, in accordance with law, on or before 6.8.2015, and inform the decision taken, to the petitioner.
