PRAYER: Writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to consider and dispose of petitioners' representations dated 25.08.2008 and 04.07.2018 wherein they have claimed enhanced compensation and for proper determination of the value of the petitioners' properties and fair and equitable compensation for the petitioners' property within a time frame. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents herein to consider and dispose of petitioners' representations dated 25.08.2008 and 04.07.2018 seeking enhanced compensation and for proper determination of the value of the petitioners' properties and fair and equitable compensation for the petitioners' property within a time frame.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents.

3.Even according to the petitioners, the representations were submitted on 25.08.2008 and 04.07.2018, but the writ petition was filed in the year 2019.

Having slept over the matter for a period of 11 years from the date of submitting the representations, the petitioners have now filed the writ petition. Therefore, the prayer sought for in this writ petition cannot be considered. The writ petition is devoid of merits and it is liable to be dismissed. 4.Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. However, the petitioners are at liberty to submit a fresh representation in accordance with law. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition, if any, is also closed.
