The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner dated 23.02.2017 with regard to the payment of interest for the belated payments of retirement benefits.
2.The writ petitioner was working as Sr.Tradesman in the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation and retired from service on 30.10.2013. There is a delay in settlement of the terminal benefits to the writ petitioner and in this regard, the writ petitioner submitted a representation to award interest for the belated payment of the terminal benefits. The representation was submitted by the writ petitioner on 23.02.2017 and the same is yet to be considered. Thus, without going into the merits of the matter, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 23rd February 2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
3.Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of.
