Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records of the respondents in connection with the impugned order dated 18.07.15 (Enrolment Number 7400581) and quash the same and further direct the respondents to permit the petitioner to participate in the remaining course of selection (Physical endurance and Oral test) for the post of Sub-Inspector of Police for the year 2015, based on her marks secured in the written test.

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) The petitioner applied for recruitment to the post of Subhttps://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Inspector in pursuance to the notification issued on 08.02.2015 as a departmental candidate under the BC category. There is a separate category for BC (Muslim-Women) and the petitioner had ticked both the columns. This appears to have caused some confusion in the mind of the respondent authorities. 2.In any case, that confusion is over and the learned Additional Advocate General cannot seriously dispute the competency of the petitioner to participate in the examination. 3.The petitioner is, thus, entitled to the declaration of her result having gone through all the stages, according to merit.

4.Writ petition stands allowed. No costs.
