Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to issue new ration card to the petitioner under the Essential Commodities Act, based on the petitioner's application dated 16.07.2014 given by the petitioner to the 2nd respondent without any further delay.

By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims to be the resident of Thiruvannamalai District for over 15 years and she was residing along with her husband and two sons and after the demise of her husband, continue to reside in the very same address and she submitted an application dated 20.05.2013 for issuance of ration card/family card and nothing had happened and she has also submitted one more representation dated 16.07.2014 for issuance of ration card for availing the benefit of getting essential commodities at subsidized price and since she has not been favoured with any response, came forward to file this writ https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petition.

3. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the second respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 16.07.2014 and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
