Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the records relating in detention order D.No.71/2020 - C2 dated 22.07.2020 on the file of the 2nd respondent and quash the same and direct the respondents herein to produce the body of the detenue Vasudevan, male, aged 49 years, S/o.Ellapa Gounder, now confined in Central Prison, Vellore, before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in D.No.71/2020 - C2 dated 22.07.2020, detaining her husband as "Sand Offender" under Section 2(gg) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.3661, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XI) Department, dated 04.09.2020 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
