ORDER
(Made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) The petitioner seeks a direction to the first respondent to pass orders on their representation dated 06.04.2023 for removing the encroachment made in front of their shop at No.183/15, GNT Road, Redhills, Chennai 600 052.
2. According to the petitioner, they are running a shop in No.183/15, GNT Road, Red Hills, Chennai, registered under the Food Safety and Standard Authority of India. The official respondents, for the purpose of putting up drainage and sewage pipes, digged the road in front of their shop. The fourth respondent and the roadside vendors, taking advantage of the same, encroached the entire front side of
their shop and put up roadside shops. When it was resisted by them, they were prevented by the fourth respondent and the roadside vendors from running the shop. Hence, they made a representation to the first respondent on 06.04.2023. As it did not evoke any response, they have come up with this writ petition.
3. Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader submitted that the first respondent would consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders within a period of four weeks.
4. In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of directing the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 06.04.2023 and pass orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There will be no order as to costs.
