This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner wherein the petitioner has sought for benefit of additional increment and for re-fixation of pay and for payment of arrears of pay and pension amount.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the Chennai Corporation submitted that the petitioner has made a subsequent representation with the same request and the same was considered by the Assistant Commissioner and the request made by the petitioner was rejected through proceedings dated 19.08.2024. A copy of the same was also placed before this Court.

3. In the light of the above development, no further orders are 2/4

required to be passed in this writ petition. If the petitioner is aggrieved by the proceedings dated 19.08.2024, it is left open to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law, if so advised. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of.
