O R D E R

This Petition is filed seeking direction to the Learned II Additional District Munsif, Pondicherry to dispose of the Suit in O.S.No.1042 of 2018 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2.The Learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the Suit was filed by the Respondents against the Petitioner seeking relief of permanent injunction restraining the Petitioner from interfering with the Respondents' possession and enjoyment of the Suit property. He submitted that the Petitioner is a senior citizen aged 70 years. The Petitioner filed written statement and the Suit is ready for trial. However, the Respondents have not taken any interest to proceed with the case. The Petitioner has to face unnecessary litigations. In the said circumstances, he prayed for disposal of the Suit within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

3.This is a case where the Defendant is a senior citizen. The Courts are expected to give priority in disposal of the cases relating to senior citizen. Therefore, the Learned II Additional District Munsif, Pondicherry is directed to dispose the Suit in O.S.No.1042 of 2018 as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition is allowed. No costs.
