Respondent Petition filed under Article 226 of The Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 23.07.2015 and give permission to conduct the dance programe on 08.08.2015 between 7.00 p.m. and 11.00 p.m. held at Sri Mariamman Temple, Theedal during temple function at Keelamathu, Uthangarai Taluk, Krishnagiri District, within the jurisdiction of Singarapettai Police Station, Singarapettai, Krishnagiri District.

ORDER

By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner claims to be the Secretary of the organising committee which is conducting temple festival of Sri Mariamman Temple of Theedal, situated at Keelmathur, Uthangarai Taluk, Krishnagiri District. He submitted an application on 23.07.2015 praying for permission to conduct song and dance programme in connection with the temple festival to be held on 08.08.2015 and since he has not been favoured with any response, he came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that in the event of permission being granted to conduct and song and dance programme, there will not be any law and order https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

problem and no vulgarity or obscenity will be there and hence, prays for appropriate orders.

4.Heard the submissions of Mr.B.Vasudevan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

5.This Court, without going into merits of the representation/application, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation/application dated 23.06.2015 in accordance with law and pass orders on or before 06.08.2015 and inform the decision taken to the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
