This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to give adequate police protection to the petitioners and their property situated at Pondicherry RD, oulgaret Sub R.D., Oulgaret Village, Oulgaret Commune, Village No.34, Thatanchavady Revenue Village, R.S.No.257/3, Cadestre No.1678, Plot Nos.25 - 30, total land measuring an extent of 7500 sq.ft. from any threat or attempt to trespass by the respondents 3 to 7.
2. It is the contention of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that he is the owner and possession of the property. Whereas, some third parties are trying to take possession of the property, since the property is a vacant land and the petitioners have put up a pucca compound wall.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Pondicherry, appearing for the first and second respondents also confirmed the fact that the petitioners are the owner of the property and they are in possession of the property.
4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsels for the respondents.
5. In view of the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the second respondent shall take action as per law against the trespassers and if any cognizable offence is made out, he is bound to register the First Information Report as per law.
6. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
