ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed seeking for issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to pay pension to the petitioner from March 2014 and Gratuity, P.F and other terminal benefits for the service rendered by him.
2. Heard Mr. T.Karkivelan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.Vinothraj, learned Govt. Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents.

When the writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that pending consideration of the present writ petition, the petitioner had deceased and the legal heirs of the petitioner had resolved the dispute through mediation vide E.P.No.6 of 2021 in C.P.No.136 of 2014, dated 25.07.2025, whereby, they have arrived at a Settlement Agreement.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that in the
aforesaid Settlement Agreement, the legal heirs of the petitioner have agreed to withdraw the present writ petition pending before this Court.
5. Learned Standing counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents, by placing a copy of the Settlement Agreement entered into between the legal heirs of the petitioner and the respondents, would submit that the grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition stands redressed in terms of the Settlement Agreement dated 25.07.2025. The aforesaid Settlement Agreement entered into between the legal heirs of petitioner and respondents is taken on record.
6. In view of the Settlement arrived at between the legal heirs of the deceased petitioner and the respondents through mediation, this court is of the view that the cause for the present writ petition does not survive for consideration and accordingly, the Writ Petition is closed.
