This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondent Nos. 1 to 9 not to permit any encroachment on the National Highways Road/State Highways Road (Villupuram to Chennai National/State Highways Road) bearing Town Survey No.3, Ward No.A, Block No.37, Villupuram Town in Villupuram District. 2.Respondent No.8, i.e., The Divisional Engineer C & M, Highways Department, Villupuram has filed a Status Report in which it is stated that if any encroachments are noticed, the same will be evicted as per the guidelines of the Tamil Nadu Highways Act, 2001.
3. In view of the status report filed by the Respondent No.8, no further orders are necessary in the Writ Petition. The Writ Petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
