This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register the complaint lodged by the petitioner on 19.08.2015.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent.

3. On the complaint dated 19.08.2015 lodged by the petitioner, a petition enquiry in CSR No.805 of 2015 has been conducted and the same has been closed on 03.09.2015 on the ground that the petitioner's husband is not appearing before the respondent police for enquiry. A statement has been obtained from the petitioner that she will take steps to get back her jewellery through the Court that cannot be a reason to close the petition enquiry. The complaint discloses acts of cruelty and illegal holding of the petitioner's Sridhana properties. Therefore, the closure report in CSR No.805 of 2015 is set aside and the respondent police is directed to conduct fresh enquiry on the complaint dated 19.08.2015 and take action in accordance with law.
