Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 herein to remove the encroachment made by the respondents 4 to 8 herein at Periya Theru, Melachalai Karaimedu Village, Annan Kovil Post, Sirkazhi Taluk, Mayiladuthurai District.

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.V.K.Rajagopal, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.T.K.Saravanan, learned Government Advocate for respondent Nos.1 to 3.

2. It is submitted that a road exists in S.No.417/8 and encroachment is made on the same.

3. No documents are annexed in the present writ petition to affirm the said fact.

4. The petitioner may approach the appropriate Committee constituted under the Government Order bearing G.O.Ms.No.64 dated 08.02.2022. If the petitioner approaches the appropriate Committee, the concerned Committee shall consider the said representation on its

own merits and in accordance with law after observing the principles of natural justice.

5. The writ petition, accordingly, stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
