By consent the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims to be the owner of the property admeasuring to an extent of 5 cents in S.No.99/6c, which she purchased through a registered sale deed bearing Document No.304/2001, dated 2.11.2000. The petitioner, after purchasing the said land, applied for transfer of patta, vide application dated 20.4.2014. Though it was received by the respondent on 21.4.2015, no orders have been passed. Hence, the petitioner came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.Mariappan, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.RAJ Sakthivel, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

4. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application/representation dated 20.4.2015, on merits and in accordance with law, after putting on notice the persons concerned and pass orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and inform the decision taken, to the petitioner.
