ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the respondents to provide police protection to the petitioner.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is aged about 62 years and his sons are not maintaining him; on the contrary they are assaulting him and hence, the petitioner is not able to lead a peaceful life. He further submitted that the petitioner has lodged a complaint through on-line on 27.08.2018 to the second respondent, but, so far, no action has been taken and hence, the second respondent may be directed to give police protection to the petitioner.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that the complaint was received on 27.08.2018 through on-line and the same is pending for enquiry.

Considering the aforesaid submissions, the second respondent is directed to conduct an enquiry on the said complaint and if the enquiry reveals any cognizable offence, then he has to register the case and proceed in accordance with law or otherwise provide police protection to the petitioner.
