Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 16.06.2021 and to shift the petitioner's son Mr.Balaji @ Kakkathoppu Balaji, Son of Ramalingam, now admitted in the Stanley Government Medical Hospital, Chennai to the Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital for timely medical surgery and treatments to him.

ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 16.06.2021 and to shift the petitioner's son Mr.Balaji @ Kakkathoppu Balaji, Son of Ramalingam, who is now admitted in the Stanley Government Medical Hospital, Chennai to the Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital for timely medical surgery and treatments to him.

2. The petitioner is the mother of Balaji @ Kakkathoppu Balaji, who was arrested by the Police in H-6, R.K.Nagar Police Station in Crime No.942 of 2021 under Section 8 (c), 20, 25, 29 of NDPS Act. Thereafter, he was detained under the Goondas Act on 23.02.2021. Subsequently, on 15.04.2021, the detention order was recalled vide G.O.No.1699. Thereafter, the petitioner was again arrested in Crime No.942 of 2021 by H6, R.K.Nagar Police Station and in the process he sustained injuries. Hence, the petitioner sent a representation dated 16.06.2021 seeking proper medical aid to her son and best of treatment.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) has produced the discharge summary of the petitioner stating that he was discharged from the Stanley Government Hospital, Chennai, on 23.06.2021. From the medical report produced, it is evident that on the date of the admission, i.e., on 13.06.2021, the petitioner was brought with some multiple injuries and thereafter, Covid test was taken and found that he was Covid negative. Thereafter, treatment was given. On the date of discharge, he was conscious and stable. Recording the same in the discharge summary, the petitioner was discharged. Now, the petitioner is lodged at Sub-Jail, Saidapet due to the prevailing of Covid-19 situation.

4. In view of the above submissions, nothing survives for further adjudication in this Writ Petition. Hence, the Writ Petition is closed.
