Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that though both the petitioner and respondent mutually agrees for final hearing on 29.07.2021, the respondent, on contrary, whenever appears before the trial Court makes his submission that there is no stay of proceedings and the Court shall proceed with the trial. Hence the petitioner is facing undue pressure in this regard. In view of the same, this Court is inclined to stay the proceedings. Since the co-accused's case in Crl.O.P. No.4528 of 2018 dated 30.06.2021 is quashed, this Court stays the further proceedings in C.C. No.145 of 2018, pending on the file of XV Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai, till the disposal of the above original petition.
