.. Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to pay compensation of Rs.47,250/- as recommended by the respondents 1 and 2 with interest.

Petitioner's vehicle was burnt in the riot caused pursuant to the death of the former Prime Minister late Mr.Rajiv Gandhi. Though recommendations have been made by the respondents 1 and 2, by proceedings dated 02.05.1992 and 15.12.1992, which were rejected by the third respondent dated 23.08.1994, after due notice to the petitioner, in a batch of Writ Petitions filed in W.P.Nos.13545 of 1994 etc. dated 27.03.1997, it appears that the rejection order was set aside including that of the petitioner and the matters are remitted back for fresh consideration. Thereafter, an enquiry notice was issued by the first respondent on 10.03.1998.

2.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents is unable to assist this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.Considering the same, if the enquiry is not completed, the respondents 1 and 2 are directed to complete the same and pass appropriate final orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If already final orders are passed in favour of the petitioner, then the respondents 1 and 2 shall give affect to the same.
