By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner claims to be the President of the organising committee which is conducting temple festival of Arulmigu Sri Ellaiamman, Sri Kaliamman, Sri Uthukattamman Temple at Theradi Street, Marakkanam, Thindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District. He submitted a representation/application on 25.07.2015 praying for permission to conduct song and dance programme in connection with the temple festival to be held on 31.07.2015 and since he has not been favoured with any response, he came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that in the event of permission being granted to conduct and song and dance programme, there will not be any law and order problem and no vulgarity or obscenity will be there and hence, prays for appropriate orders.

4.Heard the submissions of Mr.R.Jayaprakash, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Digvijaya Pandian, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

5.This Court, without going into merits of the representation/application, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation/application dated 25.07.2015 in accordance with law and pass orders on or before 30.07.2015 and inform the decision taken to the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
