By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims to be the owner of the land situated at S.F.No.99/6C, Old S.F.No.99/6, to an extent of 5 cents, by virtue of a registered settlement deed dated 18.6.2008. He has applied for transfer of patta in respect of his share vide his application dated 20.04.2015 and though it was received by the respondent on 21.04.2014, no further progress took place and hence, the petitioner came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.Mariappan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. 4.This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application/representation dated 20.04.2015, after putting the persons concerned on notice and pass orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
