JUDGMENT

Heard the learned counsels for the appellant and the respondent.

2. Learned counsels appearing on either side filed a Joint Compromise Memo dated 07.11.2025 stating that the matter has been settled between the parties and the appellant / husband has paid a sum 1/4

of Rs.16,65,000/- to the respondent / wife.

3. It is submitted that the Civil Miscellaneous Appeal may be disposed of in terms of the joint memorandum of compromise and that the marriage dated 12.03.2014 performed between the parties may be dissolved.

4. Appellant, Mr.Saravanakumar Govindan is present before this Court and the respondent, Mrs.Shanmugapriya, appeared through Video Conferencing. Heard the parties.

5. The Joint Memo of Compromise dated 07.11.2025 is taken on record and the essential details are extracted as follows:

1) Respondent is unconditionally agreeing for divorce. The respondent is appearing through video conferencing.

2) The Appellant has paid a sum of Rs.16,65,000/- to the respondent on 19.09.2025, towards full and final one time settlement towards lifetime maintenance and the respondent hereby acknowledges the receipt of the same.

3) The appellant and the respondent declare that there is no claim against each other in respect of movable and immovable properties, including maintenance.

4) The appellant and respondent had decided to file this compromise memo out of their free will and there is no coercion between the parties.

Recording the above stated terms of Joint Compromise Memo, the judgment and decree dated 07.02.2024 made in C.M.A.No.13 of 2021 on the file of the I-Additional District Court, Namakkal is hereby set aside and the marriage solemnized between the appellant and the respondent at Arulmigu Kailasanathar Temple, Rasipuram on 12.03.2014 is dissolved and a decree of divorce is granted on the ground of mutual consent. Accordingly, this Civil Miscellaneous Second Appeal stands disposed of in terms of the joint memorandum of compromise dated 07.11.2025 and the joint compromise memo forms part of the decree.
