O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 04.08.2020 for the offences punishable under Section 147, 148, 341, 294(b), 323, 324, 307 and 506(ii), in Crime No.866 of 2020, seeks bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused had waylaid the defacto complainant, attacked him with knife and wooden log and also threatened him with dire consequences. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that the petitioner has two previous cases one in Crime No.361 of 2014 for the offences under Section 294(b), 302, 324 IPC and another in Crime No.75 of 2019, under Section 147, 148, 307, 506(ii) 109 IPC which are pending trial. He would further submit that the petitioner has been recently arrested on 04.08.2020 and the investigation is in initial stage. Hence, he vehemently opposes for the grant of bail to the petitioner.

5.Taking into consideration of the antecedents of the petitioner and also considering the fact that the petitioner was arrested very recently on 04.08.2020, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner for the present.
