O R D E R
(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(i), 4(1)(aaa), r/w 4(1-A)(ii) of TNP Act in Crime No.477 of 2020, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.
The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 120 litres of ID Arrack. Hence, the complaint.
The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner is an habitual offender and that there are eight previous cases of similar nature pending against him and out of which two cases have been registered during the year 2020. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
Taking into consideration the facts and submissions made by the learned counsel and considering the fact that the petitioner is an habitual offender, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
