Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to act swiftly by taking all remedial measures in preventing the animal borne health hazard by considering the representation dated 30.05.2015 made by the petitioner to the respondents and dispose of the same in accordance with law within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) Mr.Su.Srinivasan, learned Assistant Solicitor General, accepts notice for respondents 1 to 5 and Mr.S.T.S.Moorthy, learned Government Pleader, accepts notice for respondents 9 to 13. 2.On hearing the learned counsel for parties and considering the importance of the issue raised by the petitioner about health concerns of people and remedial measures to be taken for preventing animal borne health hazards, we direct the representation of the petitioner dated 30.05.2015 to be disposed of by the 9th and 10th respondents within two (2) months from the receipt of the order, after discussion with all the stakeholders in the Government as well as outside. The compliance report be filed before this Court within a week thereafter.

3.Writ Petition, accordingly, stands disposed of. No costs. 4.List for compliance on 09.10.2015.

5. A copy of the order be also served on the learned Additional Solicitor General for him to obtain instructions qua any role to be played by the Central Government, if any.
