The relief sought for in this writ petition is to direct the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 10.02.2014, within a stipulated time.
2.The learned counsel appearing for the Writ Petitioner made a submission that the writ petitioner was appointed as Grade-II Police Constable in Tamil Nadu State Police Battalion and thereafter, he was promoted as Grade-I Police Constable with effect from 25.07.2000. The petitioner was further given promotion to the post of Special Sub Inspector of Police with effect from 25.07.2010.
3.The Writ Petitioner claims that he is eligible for regular promotion to the post of Sub-Inspector of Police and thereafter to the post of Inspector General of Police. However, in this regard, the petitioner submitted a representation to the respondents on 10.02.2014 and the same is yet to be considered. 4.The learned counsel for the writ petitioner made a submission that his claim for the above said post is on the Judgment passed by this Court in W.P.No.31934 of 2015 dated 08.10.2015. Thus, without going into the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner dated 10.02.2014 and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
