O R D E R
The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, to direct the respondents to calculate the retirement benefits of the petitioner based on his last pay drawn at Basic Pay of Rs.12,240/-, Grade Pay of Rs.4,300/- and Dearness Allowance of Rs.8,435.40 and consequently revise and disburse him the difference sum of retirement benefits as sought for in his representation dated 25.02.2025 with interest at the rate of 8% per annum from the said date of entitlement to till the date of actual disbursement within a time limit to be stipulated by this Court.

It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner had retired from the services of the first respondent on 31.05.2011 as Driving Instructor and made a representation dated 25.02.2025 to the respondents, seeking to calculate the retirement benefits of the petitioner based on his last pay drawn and to revise and disburse to him the difference sum of retirement benefits along with interest at the rate of 8% per annum; 2/5
there was no response to the same. However, such submission was objected by the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.
3. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

Though there is disputed facts between the parties, taking into consideration of the fact that the representation made by the petitioner is yet to be considered, this Court without going into merits of the matter, deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the representation dated 25.02.2025, and pass order on it's own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
