PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation preferred by the petitioner dated 07.06.2017. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The writ petition has been filed with a prayer to direct the respondent authorities to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.06.2017 and remove the unauthorized construction built by respondent No.8 by encroaching Government poramboke land in Survey No.161B at 4th Street, Muthamizh Nagar, Karapakkam, Chennai-600 097.

2. We direct the seventh respondent/Tahsildar to cause a local inspection of the land in question at 4th Street, Muthamizh Nagar, Karapakkam, Chennai-600 097, within a fortnight. If no encroachment is found, the matter will rest and if any encroachment is found, the official respondents shall take action in accordance with law after putting on notice all concerned, particularly respondent No.8 before us, and conclude the proceedings within two months from the date of inspection.
