ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.F.Wellington, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mrs.R.Anitha, learned Special Government Pleader, for respondent Nos.1 to 4 and Mr.A.Prakash, learned counsel for respondent No.5.

2. Grievance is made about encroachments on the waterbody. A status report is filed by the Tahsildar, Valapady, wherein details are given about encroachers. In the said list of encroachers, the names of the petitioner as well as respondent No.5 appear.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader submits that steps would be taken to evict the encroachments.

4. The authorities shall take steps as against all the encroachers as are detailed in the status report expeditiously and in accordance with law after following the principles of natural justice. With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
