O R D E R

(This case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences publishable under Sections 392 and 394 IPC, in Crime No.483 of 2019, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with some other persons waylaid the defacto complainant while he was going in his lorry and snatched his cell phone worth Rs.14,000/- and cash Rs.5,000/- from the defacto complainant and also assaulted him. Hence the complaint.

3. The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner along with some other persons waylaid the defacto complainant and snatched his cell phone worth Rs.14,000/- and cash Rs.5,000/- from the defacto complainant at knife point and also assaulted him. He would further submit that the petitioner is involved in six previous cases. However, he opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration the facts and submissions of the learned counsel and that the petitioner is involved in six previous cases, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6.With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
