O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the Juvenile Justice Board, Chennai, to consider the bail application, if filed and dispose the same on the same day of the surrender of the petitioners in relation to Crime No.244/2015 on the file of the respondent.

2. In the petition, it has been stated that the petitioners are accused in Crime No.244/2015. A case has been registered against them along with other accused for the offence under section 306 IPC.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that these petitioners are in no way connected with the said offence. The first to fourth accused were already released on bail in Crl.O.P.No.11841/2015 by this Court. These petitioners are juvenile, aged about 17 and 16 years respectively. The petitioners have approached this Court for a direction to direct the Juvenile Justice Board, Chennai, to consider the bail application on the same day of their surrender.

4. Considering the submissions made, this Court directs the Juvenile Justice Board, Chennai, to consider the bail applications to be filed by the petitioners on merits on the same day of their surrender. The petitioners are directed to produce the proof of their age.

The criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
