ORDER

(1) Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

(2) The petitioner earlier approached this Court by filing WP.No.27664/2018 for a limited relief of surveying lands in S.Nos.1205, 1206, 1207, 1208 and 1249/2, measuring to an extent of about 6 acres at Madhavaram Village, Kanakanchathiram, Madhavaram, Chennai. A Learned Single Judge of this Court, vide order dated 23.10.2018, had favourably considered the said writ petition and had directed survey of the lands. Now the petitioner seeks patta for the said lands. He had given a representation on 16.09.2019. Unfortunately, it appears that the competent authority, viz., the 3rd respondent herein, had not taken any action with respect to the said representation, necessitating the writ petitioner herein to file the present writ petition.

(3) A mandamus is issued to the 3rd respondent to consider the said representation dated 16.09.2019, issue notice to the petitioner, examine the records and do the needful within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
