Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 24.07.2015 and give permission to conduct the dance program on 13.08.2015 between 7.00 p.m. and 11 p.m. held at Vennandhur Sri Peria Mariamman Temple Theedal during temple function at Vennandhur Post, Rasipuram Taluk, Namakkal District within the jurisdiction of Vennandhur Police Station, Namakkal District. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.The petitioner claims to be the Secretary of the temple festival committee relating to the Sri Peria Mariamman temple which is to be held at Vennandhur Sri Peria Mariamman Temple Theedal situated at Vennandhur Post, Rasipuram Taluk, Namakkal District and he submitted an application dated 24.07.2015 to the respondent praying for permission to conduct cultural programme which includes song and dance programme to be held on 13.08.2015 and since no orders have been passed, came forward to file this writ petition. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that in the event of permission being granted, there will not be any law and order problem and no vulgarity or obscenity will be there in that place and prays for appropriate orders.

4.Heard the submissions of Mr.B.Vasudevan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. 5.This Court without going into the merits of the representation made by the petitioner directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the application/ representation dated 24.07.2015 in accordance with law and inform the decision taken, to the petitioner on or before 11.08.2015.
6.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
