Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 7.7.2015 by sending confirmation remarks to the 1st respondent on the lines the Municipal Administration and the Panchayat Administration have sent their remarks as sought for by the 1st respondent vide Letter No.32520/ME.3/2014.1, dated 18.02.2015 within two weeks.

ORDER

The petitioner is an Association representing Food Safety Officers. 25 Sanitary Officers, who are Inspectors in Chennai Corporation,were appointed as Food Safety Officers in the 4th respondent Department on 20.9.2011 and now they are working under the 4th respondent.

2. The grievance of the petitioner Association is that when the 1st respondent called for confirmation remarks from the 3rd respondent for permanent absorption into the services of the 4th respondent, the 3rd respondent has not submitted his remarks. Hence, the present writ petition is filed by the petitioner.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, taking into account the narrow issue involved in the writ petition, the 3rd respondent is directed to send confirmation remarks as called for by the 1st respondent in his proceedings dated 18.2.2015 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
