This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent Police, not to harass the petitioner on the guise of enquiry, in a landlord-tenant civil dispute.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent.

3. On a complaint given by one Elangovan, petition enquiry is pending in CSR.No.308 of 2015 and CSR.No.319 of 2015. Hence, no blanket order of not to harass can be passed. The petitioner is directed to cooperate with the enquiry and the respondent Police is directed not to harass the petitioner. During the course of enquiry, if any cognizable offence is made out, the respondent police is free to register an FIR and this order shall not be a shield for the petitioner against arrest. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
