Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to issue the amended legal heir certificate by including the name of the petitioner as surviving legal heir in certificate No.TN-7201901221308 dated 25.01.2019 issued by the respondent.

2. Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent.
3. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus to direct the respondent to issue the amended legal heirship certificate by including his name as surviving legal heir in certificate No.TN7201901221308 dated 25.01.2019 issued by the respondent.
4. According to the petitioner, he is also one of the legal heir of the deceased and however, his name was left out in the Legal heirship Certificate issued already. Therefore, he seeks for inclusion of his name in the Legal heirship Certificate, for which purpose, he has filed an application before the respondent https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
on 12.02.2020. Since the said application has not been considered so far, the present writ petition is filed.

This Court at this stage, without expressing any view on the merits of the matter, directs the respondent to consider the application filed by the petitioner, conduct due enquiry, hear all the parties including the persons in whose names already Legal heirship Certificate was issued and thereafter, pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be done by the respondent within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
