O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the learned III Additional Family Judge, Chennai to dispose of the proceedings in M.C.No.254 of 2013, at an early date, within the time frame.

2. In the petition, it has been stated that the marriage between the 1st petitioner and the respondent was solemnised on 17.10.2007. Due to the wedlock, the petitioner gave birth to two female children viz., Priyardarshini and Harshitha, aged about 7 years and 3 years respectively. Since, there was a misunderstanding between the 1st petitioner and the respondent, she is living separately. The 1st petitioner has filed a maintenance case in M.C.No.254 of 2013 before III Additional Family Court, Chennai and the same is pending. In the said

case, P.W.1 has filed proof affidavit on 19.04.2015 and marked four documents as Exs.P1 to P.4 and she was not cross examined so far. It is further stated that from 12.09.2015 onwards, the respondent has not paid the amount towards maintenance. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with this petition seeking for a direction to the learned III Additional Family Judge, Chennai to dispose of the proceedings in M.C.No.254 of 2013, at an early date, within the time frame.

3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

4. Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the learned III Additional Family Judge, Chennai to dispose of the case in M.C.No.254 of 2013 as early as possible, preferably, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
