ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 19.04.2022 for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 341, 294(b), 323, 324, 506(ii), 307 of IPC in crime No.140 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant while going in his lorry, the petitioner along with other accused waylaid his lorry and assaulted him with knife. They also took away the lorry and also damaged a marriage hall.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he seeks for grant of bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that there are totally six accused, in which the petitioner is arrayed as A1. He would further submit that the petitioner attacked the defacto complainant and also damaged a marriage hall. He would further submit that the petitioner is having twelve previous cases and he is a habitual offender. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the graving of the offence committed by the petitioner and also considering his bad antecedents, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is dismissed.
