O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S. Muthuraj, learned Standing counsel, who took notice for the respondent and with their consent, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal.

2. This writ petition has been filed seeking for issuance of bar licence in the name of the petitioner. The petitioner participated in the tender as per notification in Na.Ka.No.1376/2015/A5 on 24.07.2015 and was declared as highest bidder by the respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had also paid the required amount on 29.07.2015 by way of demand drafts. However, till date no order had been passed despite repeated request. Hence, he has filed this writ petition.

4. Learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondent had not disputed the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

5. Since the petitioner was declared as highest bidder and as he has already remitted the amount, there is no justifiable reason for not issuing the licence. Hence, there will be a direction to the authority to issue licence within a week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
