Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to grant permanent approval for the post of Turncork in terms of the proposal sent by the second respondent, dated 02.09.2013 and the periodical proposal sent by the Executive Officer of the Manamadurai Town Panchayat on 02.09.2013 and 30.01.2014 so as to enable the petitioner to discharge his duties freely and further enable him to get pension and other retiral benefits on attaining the age of superannuation.

ORDER
The petitioner had been working as Turncork in Manamadurai Town Panchayat from 11.07.1986. Initially, the second respondent and the Town Panchayat sent a proposal on 02.09.2013 for regularisation of his service. The second respondent further sent a proposal on 06.09.2013 to the first respondent for regularisation of the service of the petitioner. In view of the limited relief sought for in the Writ Petition seeking for a direction to the respondents to grant permanent approval for the post of Turncork in terms of the abovesaid proposals of the respondents, i.e. for regularisation of his service in the said post and as the relief prayed for is in narrow compass, the respondents are hereby directed to pass orders on the above said proposal, dated 06.09.2013 in respect of the regularisation of the petitioner's service in the said post, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
a copy of this order. The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
