Mr.S.N.Parthasarathi, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider and pass orders on the statutory appeal of the petitioner dated 07.05.2017 within a time frame.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner had filed the statutory appeal as early as on 07.05.2017, the 2nd respondent has not passed any order so far.

4.Mr.S.N.Parthasarathi, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the 2nd respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 07.05.2017 and dispose of the same in accordance with law, after giving notice to all the interested parties, within a period of twelve weeks.

5.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 07.05.2017 and dispose of the same in accordance with law, after giving notice to all the interested parties, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
