ORDER

The mother of the petitioner was working as Elementary School Teacher at Palamathur, Maduranthakam Panchayat Union in Kancheepuram District from 21.12.1989 to 10.11.1997. The father of the petitioner died on 13.11.1997, and on the very next day, i.e. on 14.11.1997, the mother of the petitioner died. At that time, the petitioner was aged about three years. Thereafter, the maternal grandmother of the petitioner filed Guardian Original Petition in G.W.O.P.No.40 of 1998 before the Principal District Court, Chengalpet, which was allowed on 30.04.1998, appointing the maternal grandmother of the petitioner as his guardian. In the meanwhile, the petitioner completed his school studies and also made a representation on 17.12.2014 to the respondents, which was acknowledged by RPAD process, seeking for compassionate appointment.

Considering all the above facts, the first respondent-Director of Elementary Education, is directed to dispose of the said representation of the petitioner for compassionate appointment, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.
