Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to forthwith pass necessary orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 10.06.2015 for the grant of assignment of the land measuring 0.80.0 hectares comprised in Survey Number 3, situated at Azhagapuram village, Salem Taluk, Salem District in favour of the petitioner. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.The petitioner claims to be occupying and cultivating the Karadu Poramboku land admeasuring to an extent of 0.80.0 hectares comprised in Survey Number 3, situated at Azhagapuram village, Salem Taluk, Salem District for more than 30 years and also putting in hard labour. The hard labour put in has converted the Karadu Porambok land into a cultivable land. The petitioner has approached the respondent for issuance of assignment of the said land and no positive recognition has been made. The respondent did not pass any orders and in this regard, the petitioner also submitted a representation dated 10.06.2015 to the respondent and since no orders have been passed, came forward to file this writ petition. 3.Heard the submissions of Mr.K.Selvaraj, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Digvijaya Pandian, learned Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

of the same, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 10.06.2015 in accordance with law after putting on notice the persons concerned and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as the persons concerned.
