Respondent Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to issue community certificate to the petitioners 2 to 6 that they belong to "Kurichan (ST) Community"as per the application of the petitioner dated 22/8/2014 based upon the community certificate already issued to the first petitioner and report of the anthropologist dated 17/5/2014.

(Order of the Court was made by SATISH K. AGNIHOTRI,J.) Mrs.A.Srijayanthi, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. With the consent of the learned counsel for the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. By this petition, the petitioners seek a direction to the sole respondent to consider the application of the first petitioner dated 22nd August, 2014 for issuance of Kurichan ST Community certificate to his sisters and brother/petitioners 2 to 6.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the respondent herein had issued community certificate to the first petitioner as well as to his wife and children on 8th August, 2014. Thus, a direction be issued to the respondent authority to consider the said certificates and also the anthropologist report, which is a relevant document for considering and deciding the community/social status of the petitioners 2 to 6.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submits that all the relevant documents, including the Anthropologist report shall be considered and after determining the social status/community of the person concerned, proper decision will be taken and certificate accordingly thereon shall be issued within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Sd/- Assistant Registrar True Copy Sub Assistant Registrar mvs.
