O R D E R
Prayer in the present petition is for a direction to the respondents to release the petitioner's sister Krishnapriya, who is confined at Government Home at Thirupathur, in connection with F.I.R. No.17 of 2017 for an offence under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, among other offences. The petitioner's sister K.Krishnapriya, while in the Government Home, has given a birth to a male child on 02.12.2017. The present petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking permission to release her sister K.Krishnapriya who is confined at Government Home at Thirupathur.

Public Prosecutor, on instruction from the respondent police, produced a copy of the letter dated 06.12.2017, wherein the victim girl, namely, K.Krishnapriya, had given a statement that she, wholeheartedly, is willing to go with the petitioner herein, who is her own blood sister. Further, it was also brought to the notice of this Court that the victim girl is a major and it would not be appropriate to retain her in the Government Home against her wishes.
In view of the above, the criminal original petition is allowed. The victim girl, namely, K.Krishnapriya, is permitted to join the petitioner, namely, Krishnadevi, W/o.Prabhu. The Government Home at Tirupathur shall also release the petitioner's sister, K.Krishnapriya, from confinement, to enable her to join the petitioner herein.
