[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents police to produce the body or person of the detenu by name V.Devi, who is petitioner's wife and now aged about 43 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.

It is the case of the petitioner that his wife Devi, aged about 43 years, went missing from 17.06.2021 and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure her. 3.
On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Ponnur Police Station Crime No.239 of 2021 for 'woman missing' was registered on 18.06.2021 and during the course of investigation, it came to light that the detenue Devi has eloped with one Arumugam.
In such view of the matter, this habeas corpus petition is closed with a direction to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vandavasi, to monitor the investigation in Ponnur Police Station Crime No.239 of 2021 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenue Devi, aged about 43 years, is secured, she shall be produced before the Judicial Magistrate, Vandavasi, under intimation to the petitioner.
